This 4 Islands longtail boat tour is a simple, classic way to explore Krabi’s nearby islands in one day. You can be picked up from your hotel or meet directly at Nopparat Thara Pier in Ao Nang, where you join your guide and board a shared wooden longtail boat with other travelers.

The route usually includes Phra Nang Beach, Poda Island, Chicken Island, the sandbar area at Thale Waek and nearby Tub and Mor islets. At each stop, there is time to swim, snorkel, walk or take photos, with a Thai buffet lunch served on the beach at Poda Island. Masks, snorkels and life jackets are provided for those who want to spend more time in the water.

Because the tour uses a longtail rather than a speedboat, the pace is gentle and there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy the scenery as you move between islands. Typical Itinerary

1. Hotel pickup or pier meeting - Start with pickup from selected hotels in Krabi or Ao Nang, or meet your guide at Nopparat Thara Pier depending on the option you choose.
2. Board the longtail boat - Check in, meet your Thai and English speaking guide, put on a life jacket if you wish and board the shared longtail boat.
3. Railay and Phra Nang Cave Beach - Make a quick hop via Railay Beach, then visit Phra Nang Beach to see vertical limestone cliffs, soft sand and the Princess Cave shrine.
4. Poda Island swim and lunch - Continue to Poda Island for swimming and snorkeling, then enjoy a Thai style buffet lunch on the beach with fruit and water included.
5. Chicken Island photo cruise - Cruise around the rocky “head” of Chicken Island, taking photos of the unusual rock shape from the boat.
6. Sandbar walk at Thale Waek and Tub Island - Visit the famous separated sea area where, at low tide, you can walk along the sandbar linking Chicken, Tub and Mor Islands.

• You should be able to step from the pier into the longtail boat and walk on sand and uneven paths at the islands.
• Bring sunglasses, a sun hat, swimwear, towel, reef safe sunscreen, flip flops or water shoes, quick dry clothing and some cash in Thai Baht.
